Carrock Holsteins

The Carrock herd was restocked after Foot and Mouth with the purchase of the Hollowford herd.

We have built up the following families:

Anna:
The foundation cow was imported from Canada – Skimmerdale Grand Am. Her daughter Hollowford Wade Anna Ex91 has two outstanding daughters and two of her Talent sons are being used as the herd’s current stock bulls.

Morgan:
The Morgan family was introduced with Durham embryos purchased from Dirigo Encore Morgan EX92 bred from 5 generations Excellent. We now have Carrock Durham Morgan milking in the herd with calves by Goldwyn and Decker. Morgan’s full brother sold for 3550 gns at the Spring bull sale 2006.

Spottie:
We currently have an Excellent Storm daughter of the famous Sunylodge Prelude Spottie, with calves by Allen, Blitz and Goldwyn.

Christianne:
A Storm son of Gillette Blackstar Christianne has been used extensively on the herd with his first Ex daughter standing 3rd in a strong 3rd Calver class at the Northern Dairy Expo 2006.

Abbie:
Holmeden Outside Abbie was purchased at the Holmeden sale in 2001 as a maiden now VG87, we have a 10659 litre Manat heifer, also Boss and Arran daughters.

Vaakje:
A VG85 2yro Emerson Vaakje with 9 generations Excellent was purchased at the Stardale Sale 2006.
